Why Dwell?

Because you are busy, life is crowded, and your spirit longs for something more. Because you want to create space to listen, but your calendar is full. Because you know how refreshing it would feel to be in a space where your own soul could be nurtured for a while. Because you want to deepen your connection with God. Because it sounds like water for a parched spirit. Because you are curious about group direction. Because you feel a little nudge, a bit of a pull, and you don’t want to ignore it. Because.

What Does Dwell Look Like?

Dwell looks like gathering with a small group of people (4-6 participants) for two hours each month. It looks like engaging in contemplative practices, silence, sharing, listening, and responding. During each session, you’ll be invited to notice how you’re arriving, participate in a lectio divina (or other similar contemplative practice), and share with the group about what is standing out to you. We don’t have typical Bible Study-type conversations. Instead, after someone shares, we have space to ask them a question or offer a response with the goal of helping them listen more attentively to what’s happening with them and God. We don’t problem solve, give advice, or claim to speak for God in their lives. It’s a gentle and encouraging space.

When does Dwell Meet?

We meet for two hours at a time, four times between September and December. Exact dates and times will be determined based on particpants’ availability.

Dwell for Clergy and Ministry Leaders

If you serve in ministry of any kind, this group is for you. Dwell invites you to take time to nurture your own soul. It’s a place where you can show up without needing to have the answers or have your stuff together. You don’t have to prepare, be ready to teach, or minister to anyone else. You don’t need to have a wise or encouraging word to offer. It really is a space for you to be ministered to and be with others who get the life of ministry.

Dwell for Everybody

Of course you don’t need to be in ministry to desire space to slow down and care for your soul. We also offer Dwell groups that are open to those who aren’t in a ministry role. They follow the same format and provide opportunities for you to connect with others who also want to deepen their relationship with God.

How Much Does It Cost?

The fall session is $195 for 4 two-hour sessions.

You’ll be prompted to fill in your availability, and we will form groups based on what works for the most people. You won’t be asked to pay anything until the group day and time has been determined. Because we work hard to arrange things in ways that work best for everyone (it’s a bit like Tetris), please take care to be as accurate as possible when filling out the form.

Groups need a minimum number of participants to run. If we need to cancel the group due to low registration, we’ll let you know.
